The Honor Flight is Co-written by Al Lopez & David Vincent from our heart and through the eyes of our veterans. I present these songs with a genuine, transparent, and an emotional performance, aiming to show respect to our veterans with Honor and dignity and to give them a proper welcome home they deserve. I love performing for veterans, not only to give them a proper welcome home but also to continue our healing journey through our shared musical experience.
Triumphs of My Honor Flight Musical Journey
A Triumph in my music with the Honor Flight is ; I had passed my music on to Bob Green and Kathy Barnes, the President and Vice President of the Mid Michigan Honor Flight, where they heard my debut of the songs I co-wrote for the Honor Flight, and the feedback was overwhelming. The meaning of the song and video was so powerful, they felt compelled to pass the song to the Director of the Honor Flight National in Washington D.C.. After hearing the song and video they now want to adopt the song I co-wrote called "Honor Flight" as their National Song, and has invited me to sing for the Honor Flight National Convention in Washington D.C. , where I will be singing for the representatives of 136 hubs around the country in one location, and possibly the Commander and Chief himself. It is a true honor and a privilege to be part of such a fine cause for our veterans. To have the Honor Flight National show high regard to the song is an extraordinary honor in itself!
I was also asked by the USO to apply for their organization to possibly sing for our troops at home and deployed in the field around the world!
Since the release of the song "Honor Flight" on YouTube and all major music streaming platforms, I have been fielding calls from around the country. They ask if I would consider coming to them to perform the songs live for their Welcome Home Celebration and Banquets, which would be an honor. It's the same feeling they experience when visiting the monuments and memorials in Washington D.C.
